Internet Problem

Ever since I installed this program edonkey on my pc, iv been having problems with my internet. It will sometimes connect then ten minutes later not work. Throughout the day sometimes it will work, sometimes it wont.

Everything is connected in, the router shows all green lights, iv since removed the program, but the problem is still happening. Sometimes i switch the router on and off and it will work again for abit, sometimes it wont though. Sometimes I restart the pc to make it work. Its driving me insane so please before I get disconnected again, I can feel its about to happen, so I better stop typing now, has anyone got any idea whats wrong?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Just to add, im with nildram. Iv never had a problem with them before, for the last few years since iv been with them.

Why does my internet keep disconnecting? Its driving me insane :/

If its any help im with nildram and mine disconnects like 10 times a day!

Hey - edonkey is a Peer To Peer isnt it?

Your Internet may not be working because of how much you are downloading or how much you are uploading.

Our house gets 2GB monthly download allowance, the only thing I download is data when playing online games like Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty United Offensive.

So when I have downloaded 2GB or more in a month, our Internet disconnects/freezes.

Since I discovered this, I have tried to cut down on playing games, which has worked, and our Internet no longer disconnects/freezes.

So how much download limit do you have a month?

Also if you dont download a lot, you may be uploading without your knowledge.

Check in edonkeys folder on your hardrive if its still there since the uninstall for a folder called "downloads" or along them lines...

That would be where all of your downloaded content is stored, and uploaded automatically without your knowledge!
