Internet problem

My Girlfriends house has awful internet which even though complaining to BT hasn't been fixed. They deny anything is wrong with it, streaming downloading etc is done roughly at the advertised speed that they are paying for.

On the other hand simply loading web pages is a nightmare of slowness and time outs that half the time make it impossible to browse. BT have tested the line and sent them the newest Hub but it still persists it happens on any device wireless or wired? Does anyone have any idea what it might be so I can maybe help them.

Have you ran a few trace rout tests to see if there are any huge times on the hop's ??

also are they running any web filtering software ??

Either, but I have a feeling that BT's router won't allow the DNS settings to be changed.

I have changed the DNS on her devices to Google will see if it has any effect thanks for the advice.

I have not I will look into this I can't say as I've heard of it, and no there are no web filtering softwares running
