Odd one. I'm staying in Devon for a week and wondered why I was getting license errors on both YouTube and the BBC. Then after logging into Pinterest I had an email to say I'd logged into it from a device in California (the logging in bit is legit since not logged into Pinterest from my iPhone before).

But why am I being routed to the U.S. in the first place? Provider is Plusnet. Not sure if they has any bearing. And we are in the middle of nowhere. Again, not sure if that has any bearing either.

It's not the end of the world, more curiosity.

Maybe Plusnet have taken over a block of IP addresses and the information hasn't been updated yet.

Stick the IP into one of the geolocation lookup websites.

I have also experienced similar with PlusNet. Attempting to connect to a friends Plex server which was sat behind a firewall with Geo-IP blocking including the USA. I couldn't connect to the server and it turned out i had an IP which was still registered as a US address.
