Internet slow , computer is slower

No idea where to put this, but im thinking windows 10 problem


If i have my PC off, my mobile phone browsing internet or playing online games are fine
soon as i turn my PC on, internet on my phone takes a very long time to load

on my PC trying to browse the internet takes a very long time or even stalls
i tried to load Forza Horizon 4 last night and it just sat there loading for longer than normal, once it was up and running i could play "offline" fine

i am wondering if my PC is uploading in the background ? maybe updating or something ?

is there any software out there to check something like this?

any ideas?
 
I've had friends have this in the past, things to check are:

Windows updates
Apple Cloud sync
Other cloud syncing apps

Go to task manager and use the data in there, try terminating some things and see if it speeds up.

What version of Windows are you running

Do you use OneDrive? I suppose you do use it if it is uploading.

You're on Windows 10 1803 - I wouldn't be at all surprised if Windows Update was downloading Windows 10 1809.
