Internet speed question

during the lockdown I decided to get better Internet as I have been gaming a lot more now.
Got BT superfast fibre 50Mbps. I have a power line adaptor going to the router and to the back of my xbox but only seem to get around 10/15Mbps on downloads. I do have a few things plugged in but didn't think they would take it down that much. tried unplugging and going wireless which speed it up a little but goes back down after a while. Not like we have granite walls, kit house and the game room is upstairs.

Hard wired I have

House alarm system
Sky q box
Powerline adaptor

Wireless i have
2 x phones
I pad
Sky q mini box

Is there a way to favour bandwidth or something to change to get the most out of the xbox

How well Powerline adapters work in any particular building is pretty random.

What adapters you have?
Have you got them plugged directly into the wall, preferably not sharing the socket with anything else if it's a double?

The best fix is to throw them into e-waste and run a cable instead, but that's not always practicable.

I have got a 10M CAT 6 round cable trailing across the floor from bedroom into lounge but I don’t care I’d rather that then sh*ty WiFi or powerline adapters which can’t give me the full WAN speed.

Just unplugged them and my WiFi is sitting at roughly 40Mbps here or there. The adaptors are called TP link AV600.
There plugged into a double and the other side is used also, powering my xbox and TV. Does this effect it also? Hard wire could be an option but I would have to look into it more. I would have to go into the and look with a very long Ethernet cable. Would hard wire give me the steady 50Mbps

I can't remember is 10m the max length before the speed drops
