Basically internet providers sell your broadband as x megabits per second (Mb)
When you download the speed will be in megabytes per second (MB)
There are 8 bits in a byte. So you get your internet speed of 30 Mb divide it by 8 and get your max download speed in bytes (3.75)
At 3MBs when downloading files you getting around 24Mbs so if you ISP is advertising 30 its not too bad.
