Hello.

Does anyone here know of any software that monitors the amount you download from the internet?

I have a 30GB a month limit at the moment and although I have never passed this limit, it would be interesting to see how much of the limit I am actually using.

It would be great if the software would run on startup and just track how much I have used for that session, the day, the week and the month.

Anyone know of anything?

Ta!

I downloaded DU Meter.

ants - you must have posted as I was writing my other reply out because I didnt see your suggestion. Ill give it a go. Cheers!

No it dosn't, which was a shame as I used it before NTL lifted it download limits.

Ah thats useless then as i probably uses 40gb a month internal networking. :)

If you have a router that does SNMP, you could use PRTG/MRTG/RRDGraph et al, and get graphs like this (Cacti):

Which does differentiate between internet and network usage. Chuck a (decent) managed switch in, and you can get graphs like that for each port.

It's been covered umpteen times in NIC too - Search is your friend.
