internet windows files problem

hi i have just cleaned out my cookies IE files,desktop usual windows files and just reliased that my address histor,y google files etc havent been deleted??
i have used cc cleaner window washer IE tools options and firefox options and all wont delete nothing that has to do with internet files
never had this in 10 years of computing any ideas why this is happening would be most helpful please.

In IE7. Tools, internet options, browsing history, delete files, temp internet files, history etc.

done all that mate. still having problem with nothing being deleted very strange?

Edit : might try and use cleaning progs in safe mode see what happens

tick the relevant boxes in crap cleaner

and untick *only delete files in windows temp folder older than 48 hours*
in advanced options
