Just a quick question.

A mate of mine has got a ps3 and a wii in which he wants to connect to the internet.

He has no PC or internet at the moment.

Is it possible to get the internet without a PC? I.e. to set things up - can this be done on the consoles?

Thanks

of course?

just get a ADSL or Cable router, has PS3 got a web browser? (excuse my ignorance, i'm a xbox man)

else, the use of a laptop for a minute (or phone, such as n95) can get into the admin setup page

I know the Wii has an Opera based internet browser you can use, cannot remember how we got hold of it... Will ask my better half later and post back if someone has not enlightened you in the meantime...

yes ps3 has a browser:

- connect adsl router to phone
- connect ps3 to router
- set ps3 to dhcp
- login to router using web browser and change settings as required

Failing all this, you could get a mate to lend you his laptop,

as for the n95, my wireless connection on the router isnt turned on by default - im not sure about others - so n95 wouldnt be able to connect wirelessly.

Thanks guys, wasnt sure if the ps3 or wii had built in web browser as standard.

Will let my mate know to crack on and order th internet!
