Over the last few weeks I am beginning to notice an odd problem with my internet connection at home.
I switch on my PC, log into MSN, Xfire etc, get on the web (using firefox) everything is cool, then I will go to a page and the web stops responding. Stop the page loading and refresh and it cant read it. Just keeps saying "connecting to XYZ...."
Now this is the odd bit!
When the connection stops responding, I can still use MSN, Xfire, Email etc, I can ping external IP's and I can ping DNS names such as www.google.com.
So lets say the message is "Connecting to www.techmonkeys.co.uk" then the page times out, yet I can ping www.techmonkeys.co.uk no problem.
This is the same in IE as well as firefox so it isnt browser related, it's not DNS as I cna ping the DNS name of the site when I cant connect.
So what else could it be?
