Interrailing - Tips/Advice/What to see

Dubrovnik is really beautiful once you get into the old fort. If you keep walking all the way up theres a bar which is cut into the the cliff which is a great place to grab a drink, then theres a few spots where you can do a bit of cliff jumping if you're feeling brave.

Zagreb - Budapest - Vienna - Prague

I went to these places out of your list.

Zagerb is a nice place to chill out, but not a huge amount to see and do...

I spent 4 nights in Budapest (arrived late and left very early) and could have done with 5 whole days to explore. Everything is amazing there and I very much want to go back.

Vienna I only spent 24 hours and spent a few hours finding the hostel that we booked and bailed as it was really far out of the centre and the route on the metro was closed for engineering works so would have made the journey about an hour long! We stayed in a hotel that was pretty much in the main square and didn't view much else. Not much about the place made me want to... I preferred Salzburg which was a much prettier place and had a better atmosphere.

Prague was OK, I preferred Amsterdam and Budapest (the places we saw either side of Amsterdam). Apparently we missed a few great places, the only one that comes to mind was a multi storey night club by the bridge (I think it's called Karlovy Lazne Club?)

Add Lake Bled to your list for a great chill spot with amazing scenery.

Budapest is supposed to be amazing. Definitely try some Bulls Blood red wine. Shopping, Buda is one city and Pest is the other both split by the Danube. River boat to see the city from the river. Parliament building on the side of the Danube is amazing.

Also there's a suspension bridge that has confusing lane layouts. Due to the Hungarians swapping there driving side from ours back to European driving side.

Awesome, will look into this stuff further, yet another person saying Zagreb isn't all that nice as well :p

Regarding Switzerland - It's probably not possible on this trip, but I'd highly recommend Interlaken. It's the extreme sport capital of Europe and is great fun.

Geneva is awesome, but expensive. There aren't any issues with interrailing to/in Geneva.

Yeah, Switzerland will be left for another day I think!

But it's definitely somewhere I want to go see, along with Krakow for sure.
