Intersesting GTX 295 review

=( i feel cheap for buying a gtx280 while the price was low, would love to get a dual GPU card right about now. Ah well, will have to stick to the toaster i've bought =P

I really dont get this, lots of people are saying that the gtx295 is way overpriced compared to the ati4870x2. Its been out less than a week and its only £40.25 dearer.

If you read the review mate they tested the cards at that resolution [my first post] (2650x1600) and there was NO difference in the apples to apples tests, you nVidia fanboys have more money than sense! You probably paid £150 more than I did for a video card! Also the image quality CF AA vs Q SS AA that nVidia use is FAR superior! [Proved in link below] I have a 22" monitor at the moment but I know it will fly at higher res when I upgrade! Catalyst 8.12 are superb, the 9.1's should be even better!

LOL dont call me a fanboy, immature kid. I'm not the one posting pointless threads trying to make myself feel better about owning a X2. All you're doing is trying to convince yourself it's as good as a 295 - it's not. But what do i know, i've only owned every single high-end GPU over the past few years, including ATI cards and the X2 (so how can i be a fanboy?).

And £150 more?? got mine for £400. Same price i payed for a X2.

I think everyone gets the fact that the 295 is faster, not that much faster mind (and certainly not enough to warrant the current difference in price). But, at least you can say you have a better card than the X2, and it actually be true. Everyone knew it would be faster, it had to be, Nvidia could not afford to launch a part that did not beat out the X2 in the most popular tests.

I'd get the 295 myself if I was buying a card right now, unfortunately six months ago team green had nothing that could touch it. I wonder what we will be playing with in another six.
