Intervideo Windvd

Does anybody have versions of this software? Are you entitled to a free upgrade if you already possess a copy? I have version 5, but was wondering whether I could get version 6 or 7? The website isn't very helpful...

Stupid software, it's not even that good and yet upgrades aren't free? That's a bunch of arse biscuits.

Does anybody have anyother suggestions? VLC isn't playing dvd's for me atm for some reason and I just hate windows media player
