Hi guys, quick backstory, graduated in computer science 5 years ago, but last 3 jobs in the last 2.5 years were in IT support and now currently IT engineer.
Recruiter said they saw potential and gave me an interview. It’s for a world leading driving simulation company, working as the application engineer, making the bridge between the software and ahardware and troubleshooting. Perhaps someone had worked in a similar type role and give any advice? I’m still pretty fresh in my career journey but this job is so broad and exciting! I also hold security+ and going to do my cysa+ soon but was originally applying for cyber security roles.
Responsabilities -
Work on cutting-edge computer and graphical systems on a world leading,
award-winning, automotive simulator.
Contribute to the design and improvement of all AML sub-systems.
Test and approve new equipment and components in our systems.
Build and integrate cutting-edge IT equipment including PC components,
networking equipment, racks, and cabling.
Implement multiple projectors, cinema-grade AML vision systems.
Implement professional-quality AML audio systems.
Quality-check and approve an AML DIL system before release to customer.
Operate and maintain the R&D simulator on-site.
Provide customer support for aftersales.
This opportunity has the possibility of travelling to customer installations to
commission, test, and service our systems on-site with the customer.
Anyone had similar interviews for such roles and have a generalization on the type of questions may be asked? I understand it may be in stages, and the first is to understand me and my background and experience, but any replies are welcomed!
