To the Internet!

Got my first interview tomorrow, with a apprenticeship company. If I get accepted by them I will have a interview with Cisco who I will be working for.

Any tips/advise? Got the suit sorted, the email I received said smart so might as well just go fully suited.

Do you imagine there are any questions they are guaranteed to ask (standard interview questions)
Any thing else I should/shouldn't do/say?

He's not going on a date!

;):p
What if I want a date with the interviewer ;)

Thanks everyone. Will try and do as much research as I can but it's with the learning company (QA) I'm not sure how much there will be to learn. On the phone they said it won't be anything to do with Cisco so I won't need to do my research on that 'yet' =)

Just googled the name I was given to ask for at reception on the day, second result was a LinkedIn page. Will go take a read and then snoop the QA site as well as read Huddys guide.

Well.. that wasn't a interview.

2 and a half hours of maths/english tests (on the computer) also a ICT one (based around MS Office). Click the button to change font, click the button which ..... A quick multiple choice IT 'quiz', name the ports on the back of a mobo, put these in smallest to largest (byte, kilobyte......)

Then I thought there would be interview questions, nope. She explained a few things and says keep 'x' date clear as your be going to Cisco then. Seems like a group activity thing... hmm

They are just filtering out those who know their ar$$ from elbow
Seems that way, not sure how many are actually going to Cisco then.

Open day at the end of June (tour around Cisco labs, speak to staff etc). Then first week of July I have my interview with them.

As a minimum, you are expected to read and understand the following chapters in the manual:
• Ch. 1 - Internetworking Basics
• Ch. 2 - Introduction to LAN Protocols
• Ch. 5 - Routing Basics
• Ch. 30 - Internet Protocols (IP)

The manual will give you a good overview of these technologies; however you will need to find more
materials on your own to gain a better understanding. Anything around these topics could be asked in the
technical interviews. The engineers that will interview you are trying to identify if you have the ability to
learn on your own and see if you can grasp the fundamentals of the technology that you will be dealing
with if you are successful in obtaining a place on the Cisco Apprenticeship Scheme.

Fun fun :D - Hopefully I should know most of it anyway considering I'm taking my CCENT exam next week.
