I've recently been for an interview with an IT consultancy, and having got through the first stage, I've been asked back to complete the following assignment.

They are looking to assess the following:

sounds very much like they are just asking you to plan a project from start to finish. include everything from visualisation/scope of the project down to the finer details. plenty of documentation and people in the relevent places involved doing the work.

That's kind of the point - it's supposed to be business / technology and "prior knowledge" neutral and therefore allow them to assess my research / presentation / and proposition writing skills.

Oddly that was exactly my thoughts too. Those questions are such generic rubbish it's unreal. Good luck, but if thats the sort of questions they asked their other staff you'll probably end up working with muppets who can talk a good game but can't do a damn thing
