Interview in Two Hours - Hurray!

First job interview since I got back from China, and I must say I'm all enthusiastic about it. Judging from the staff photo on their website, I'll stick out because they all seem to be middle aged (I'm 23)... but no worries.

It's an Office Admin role within a small company that help young people find work or training. I guess it's kinda like an independant Jobcentre for teenagers.

Wearing black trousers, black shirt and black shoes. I do admit I look fit for a funeral or a night in town but, for me, I never wear this kinda stuff except for interviews, so I'm feeling pretty smart and confident.

The one thing I am nervous about, is staying on my 'never failed an interview' run; it would be a bummer to fail this one as it sounds pretty easy and laid back - just what I need at the moment.

Anyway, wish me luck! Any last minute advice or reminders, post them now!

Presume with it being around young people they don't wear ties to make the feel more relaxed?

Hope not wearing a tie pays off in this instance.

I've never worn one, and I've yet to fail an interview. I'd wear one for a much more important position, along with a jacket, but I think what I'm wearing is quite suitable.

My secret to success is to convert the interview into a conversation. The quicker you do that, the easier.

That was the quickest interview... ever!

I was 10 minutes early and got seen to straight away. The woman was explaining the job, which I thought was for the company I was at but, in fact, it's for a recycling plant inputting figures and such stuff. Can't say I was thrilled about that, but maybe it'll feel good to be a part of the whole 'being green' process.

She said 4 other people have applied, she loves me and will recommend me. Hopefully, that's not just bs and she actually meant it.

Went very well, as always.

Edit: The job description was their mistake, so I didn't lose any 'points', before you ask.

So you were in fact just attending the Job Centre?

Yeh, funny isn't it?

But they messed up the description and said it was a job at the job centre. I offered to replace a member of their staff in order to avoid such mistakes in the future, and that got a giggle.
