I've been offered an interview for the position of Senior Information Analyst.

I have to produce a 10 min presentation on "Data Analysis and Presentation", but I'm currently having a mind block on what to do for it. I've made a start and feel I'm presenting a basic A-level class on what data analysis is and how to present it.

Surely this is silly, as the interviewers will know what Data Analysis is, and won't need a "basic lesson" on it. So do I present some data analysis I've done?

They don't want you to teach that what it is, they want you to display your understanding of it (and test your presentation skillz).

perhaps one bullet point on what it is, and then expand on what someone needs to be mindful of when doing analysis?

you know, risks, challenges, concerns

the 'right way' of doing it etc.

same for presentations, how should data be presented, layman terms, mind your audience, etc. etc.

they probably want you to show that you can take complex information, analyse it and interpret it and present it so that the average joe can 'get it'. So tell them how you are supposed to do all that, demonstrating it through your presentation points.
