I'm giving an interview tomorrow. Two months ago I was being interviewed for the exact same job (got it obviously lol). It should be interesting sitting on the other side of the table for something I've been through so recently :)

It's a biographical interview (all about decision making as well as experience). I can honestly say that I actually enjoyed my interview at the time.

All good fun :)

What's the job entail?

Doing interviews can be a real PITA sometimes, some of the garbage that walk through the doors at times is shocking.

I can't understand why some people don't do simple things like not even turning up in a suit, or at least making an effort to look smartly dressed.

Then there's the whole, "What do you know about the company?" "Nothing..." thing, which kinda gets on your **** after a while... you're just thinking "Jesus, do some research" :-/

Good luck though, don't give 'em too much hell :p

No promotion yet. It's for an identical job. IT Support (enterprise application support, not PC support).

Good stuff. So are you a senior technician or supervisor\team leader? It doesn't make sense for one tech to interview someone at the same level

I don't get that at all

You're job is IT Support but you haven't done the tech support part for a while, and you're actually in Management... And you haven't been promoted?

Wanna clear that up a bit

I run several support teams. I don't get hands on anymore. It's a senior management role.
