Well this is my first post, but I thought i'd contribute since i'm quite a fan of overclocking and reasonably new to it.
I bought a new case the other day, the antec 902 ( Ver 2 of the 900 series ) Just smaller than the full tower 1200 version. The only differences is the extra 3 drive bays and slightly longer in length.
Anyway, got some nice results to say the least, its definately not the quietest of cooling cases but boy does it get the job done.
It has 2x 120mm adjustable fans at the front with easy notches to adjust speeds with, including dust filters which have made a huge difference in terms of dust gathering on components, they are also easily removed for cleaning purposes I might add. It has a huge 200mm fan on top of the case for some insane cooling and an extra 120mm fan at the rear just to make sure the job is done.
Have a 9600 gso since my 8800GTX broke and pending order on an ati 5770 XFX Radeon.
So did a little testing before I transferred the parts into my new antec 902.
Was running around 57c under full load with the standard case.
At around 38c with my new case under full load after a good few hrs of gaming.
This is with my card clocked settings at,
Standard Core Clock Speed - 550Mhz, Overclocked to 720Mhz stable without artifacting.
Standard Shader Clock Speed - 1375Mhz, Overclocked to 1800Mhz stable without artifacting.
Standard Memory Clock Speed - 400Mhz, Overclocked to 485Mhz stable without artifacting.
At standard I can barely run WoW at heavily populated times at 1x multisample, but now I run 4x multisample with 30-40 FPS in densely populated areas.
Just to sum it up, you can achieve good results with air cooling and a little hoovering / tending to needs every few months or so.
I can probably go quite a bit higher in terms of overclocking but I want to keep my GPU in tact for a good while.
Anyway, here is an image of the case!
