ok this is one for the specialists amongst you... get this
i run vista 64bit ultimate to start of with...for years i ahve been using a chea "chic mouse" from onlne and it worked fine.. a month ago i bought a new keyboard a logitech g11 and that worked fine..... today i unplugged my chic mouse and plugged in a microsoft 6000 laser mouse and my pc wouldnt recognise it yet t worked with every other pc/laptop i tried it with.... so i plugged my old mouse back in and rebooted and it wouldnt boot! luckily my motheboard has a display on it so it tld me it was a pnp error.
unplugged everything and got my brother in law a tech specialist round. his mouse and keyboard worked fine.... we can only presume that it is a conflict between microsoft drivers and 3rd party drivers as neither my logitech keyboard nor saitek mouse are registered now the intelli mouse drivers are installed.
so help me... at the moment i am stuck with a cheap office keyboard and a vaguely good microsoft laser 6000 mouse.... i need my logitech keyboard and saitek mouse to work... the strange thing is my device manager is diplaying a unknown device under mice :S but there is nothing else connected...
the mystery continues!!!!!
