intresting roadmap 720

It's interesting, but so clearly fake. Come on do you really think a company like Microsoft would make such an unprofessional and poorly produced document? Internal use or not I can't see it ever happening.

Actually people have been saying it looks almost exactly how internal microsoft documents looked at the time (Sept 2010) So is most likely real, but also likely to be out of date now and things will have changed.

The fact that it is referred to as Xbox 720 shouts fake to me. MS would surely refer to it by its project title, whatever that is. I am sure they'll never call it the 720 anyway, as it's just a silly name somebody multiplied the 360 by 2. If it didn't use 720, I'd believe it a bit more, but I still call fake.

there was an advert for Xbox720 in the trailer for the Real Steel movie (i'm sure DreamWworks would have needed permission from MS to use the logo).

also, court papers detailing the publishing deal between Activision and Bungie for new game Destiny show that it is coming to Xbox 720. they mention the name a couple of times and apparently exclusive on 360/720 in 2013.

just saying..

I love some of the reasons about why it is fake. Trust me internal documents in big companies are as unprofessional as you can imagine!

I'm pretty sure its legit to be honest. The leak came from MS biggest hired legal firm not just some guy who says he works for MS. Xbox 720 will be the codename for the new xbox but not the final name as we have seen in the Activision battle and the Motorolla battle the xbox 720 has been mentioned several times. Also the document (although cant remember the exact name of it) outlines a new peripheral that could be released that had a south American capital city codename just like Natal aka Kinect had.

Id say its fully legit but was it leaked on purpose? Thats the question. With no official announcements yet but so many rumours, clues and leaked documents from these court battles I'd bet there's a chance MS are leaking sneaky little morsels for us to digest to start the hype machine. The fact that was so little in MS's corner at E3 to me shows the winding down of the console next year plus this smart glass being implemented at such a late stage for the 360 is blatantly being pushed to test it on users before full implementation into the next gen console.

MCV reckons it's likely to be fake.

Plus as they point out, the only people who use the term 'Xbox 720' are fans and the media. Even though that might not be the finished name, I highly doubt that Microsoft would even use that as their development codename.

Just look at the Kinect, that was called Natal.

The Xbox 720 name is being used as it has showed up three times in official court proceedings. In the Activision VS Origional IW member case, in the EA Vs Activison court case and then with the MS Vs Motorolla case so it is being used. Durango is also the other codename being used by Devs which is probably the more up to date codename but 720 has been also used

All the previously decent sites now seem to have resorted to junk journalism, 100% fake I reckon.
