Hi , I've picked a few of your brains already so I thought I'd introduce myself quickly as I plan on testing your grey matter further over the coming months.
My names Gary , I'm 27 and I'm from Bedford in the UK.
I've recently caught the modding bug from a friend and although I do all my own upgrades and maintenance the last time I built a PC from scratch was about 12 years ago , where a 5.1 hard drive was the shizzle and my AMD 266 was my pride and joy !
I'm planning on building a beast of a machine for gaming , photoshop and video editing but the idea of owning a machine thats tuned to perfection and hums with power also appeals to me.
I currently own an upgraded Compaq Pressario P4 3.06 , with 2gb RAM and a Geforce 7600GT. It currently chugs along fairly well and to be honest I can't fault it for what it is. The only thing I've had to change by necessity in 2 years is the PSU after it blew.
Anyway , thanks to those who have already given me some cracking advice and pointers.
