Hello people!

I am about to buy a Macbook Pro :D with the following specs:

2.2Ghz C2D
4GB RAM
NVidia 8600M GT 256MB

It's pretty similar to the specs of my XPS M1530 except is has a faster CPU. I would like to dual boot it with Windows 7 so I can play my Steam games on there, is performance going to be equivilent to my laptop or do Macs run slower?

I have no idea with these as I have never owned a Mac before, how do I go about dual booting? I know you can get some kind of virtual environment for Windows but I know from experience that virtual environments don't work for games so just need to know some info and having a native Windows partition set-up for dual booting.

I'm not looking to buy new as I only have a £500 budget and don't think the i7 etc will affect the resale value on the older models much anyway?

Brilliant, wil be picking up my one on Friday hopefully. Only thing is that its has the 8600M which are known for their failures. One thing I will be doing it installing my current HDD as it is blisteringly fast for a non-SSD and I'll need the extra storage space.
