Invasion (Apple TV)

We've got the more episodes left. Let me guess - they defeat them, something big goes down. Season 4, round 4 of the invasion with a new enemy type that's been waiting for the screen writers to let them out?
 
Hopefully the clue was in the title of the last episode, end of the line.

Earth invasion shows are my thing, so elements of both series 1-2 kept the interest going despite the laughable acts of most of the story arcs. Series 3 was actually pretty tight and a lot more formulaic, aka watchable. The last episode was pure tripe though, seemed spliced together, with a 'and that's it' ending.

Fingers crossed it doesn't return for a forth series.
 
I think the only reason this has had more than 1 season, is down to the funding, which I'm guessing is across a whole bunch of tv channels across the world. Just having a character react remotely sensibly would be a stretch for the writers.
 
Polished s3 off and was a slog to get through, with how it ends can't see how they could turn s4 around, it's a shame as these type of shows are my go to, one of the weakest Apple TV seasons they've released.
