Hi

I'm looking at building my boy a pc, he frequently wants one so I'm looking to build one over time with the view of it being ready for his 8th birthday

(He's currently 7, so have a year)

My plan would be to gather all the parts and then teach him how to build it, so his birthday will be loads of presents but all to build the pc.

His desk will be built into his cabin bed, and the layout of his room means the only place the case can go is on the left side, most cases are built for the right side.

As he's a child he thinks RGB is cool so the case doe need to be in view.

I've had a scout around Google and there is very very few.

He loves star wars and has an affinity for the dark side (might be something deeper going on there) so I was looking at maybe a red case, but then a black case with changeable RGB to red would also suit perfectly.

As it's for bedroom I don't want a massive case and would be open to an m-atx or itx case ( will test my cable management skills) but the case needs to accept a standard PSU not a SFX.

Any recommendations?

Hopefully not to big but this is a nice case and easy to build with.

That's a fantastic case, but it doesn't appear to be able to do inverted which is key :(

There’s options like thermaltake the tower, which is expensive but can be “appreciated” by either side. The O11D Evo, B-Grade is under £90.
Also cube matx cases, like thermaltake v1.
There’s few options of cases designed as inverted only. More commonly M-atx, or itx, but the main issue would be GPU clearance, but unless you’re planning a 4000 series RTX or some other huge GPU, that shouldn’t be a concern.
Bitfenix Prodigy M, or similar?

GPU will be the last thing to purchase but plan is to be 7800xt.

Cheers for the heads up on the Lian li, will check it out

Think I'm going to hunt about for a Lian li 011d Evo as a b grade. OC only have a white b grade at the minute.

I might stretch to paying full price if funds allow

Not sure if you've already bought, but I've got a Raijintek Thetis which is inverted as my only option was having the PC on the left of the desk. It's quite a small case, but fits an ATX board, Noctua cooler and 2080TI.
