Invest in shares using PayPal balance?

Sold my car for 6600 quid and the buyer paid the money from his PayPal account into mine. I had a savings bank account linked to my PayPal account and so I immediately transferred 5000 into my bank. PayPal didn't like that and locked both the transfer and the account. After a couple months of talking daily with their support eventually they let the transfer go and restored my account. But for some reason I'm no longer able to link a bank account to it...

So I have 1600 quid, but essentially no way to withdraw them, other then buy stuff online (and currently I don't need anything). I'm thinking of investing the money into AMD shares or something like that. Is there an investment account out there that I can top up using PayPal balance?

There is a period of time where they legally have to make the money available to you and let you add your bank account to withdraw it, at least that was the case around 2016 when i had a similar issue.

Agreed, I would be worried about something nefarious happening to my money if I'd sold a car through paypal. Cash or Bank transfer for me.

Or got the calculator out so that there was a round £6600 left after paying Paypals fees for sale of goods.

IG allows transfers in from PayPal I believe
