Hi folks, I've started my first build this evening. I bought the InWin C750 PSU and Gigabyte Z390 Designare motherboard. The motherboard has:

ATX 2x12
ATX 12v 2x2
ATX 12v 2x4

From reading the manual it looks like the 12v sockets are to power the CPU. The InWin PSU I got from OCUK doesn't have any cables to fit either of these sockets. In the InWin box:

24 pin motherboard
8 (4+4) pin CPU
8 (6+2) pin PCI-E
SATA
4 pin peripheral

From that list, the obvious choice would be the 8 (4+4) pin CPU cable. But the shapes of each pin moulding don't match the female socket on the motherboard. Do I need to buy a cable?

Cheers,
Alex

You have to make sure you're connecting right end of the cable to PSU.
While 24 pin cable has split connector in PSU's end, it's the motherboard end of CPU power cable which can be split to two 4 pin connectors.
(to fit into motherboard with only 4 pin CPU power connector)

Thanks EsaT. The way you suggested, it fits. I was mainly querying the fitment of the shield-shape pin mouldings into the square-shape socket mouldings. I guess it's fine though!
