Built my X99 system this evening. But git an issue where some of the ports don't line up properly.



Everything below the display port is misaligned. Standoffs are the same ones used with the board in sig. Case is a phanteks enthoo primo. Bought the board second hand on another forum. Thanks for any advice.
 
Is the shield the right one for the board.

Why does it say HDMI and DisplayPort when its a X99 board.
 
Yep, just noticed that too. Display port being non existent on X99 too. Seems it is the wrong shield. Will teach me to have a closer look at things before just slapping them in. First time with X99 so forgot all about its lack of onboard graphics.:o

Is it ok to run the system without a shield in place? Not really a big job to take the board out of the case and do without the shield for a day or two.
