Ion Drum Rocker

theres a guy I play with regularly on XBL who has a set that posts here....not sure what his name is though :(

Free bumpage though

My mate bought a set recently.

They're gorgeous compared to the standard kit.

I don't play enough on the drums (guitar o' win) to tell whether or not it'll help you develop, but my mate seems to be scoring higher generally with them compared to his old set.

I gots me one :)
Highly highly recommend it :D
Any other questions feel free to ask!

Only bad thing about the set is the bass pedal (because it's actually a hi-hat pedal!)
Plan on importing a new pedal soon (either the kickbox + pedal or a destroyer :p)

Thanks for the info Marky - I played the GH drums and the RB drums and was pretty dissapointed - seemed a good upgrade as I play these kind of games a fair bit with mates etc.

So is the bass pedal not resistant enough ??

Have you used them in GH:WT - I know you had to disconnect the symbols - is this still the case?

Yeah I found that I was playing the drums more and more, and really enjoyed it. This is the reason why I thought I'd go for the ION Drum Rocker. It's a lot of moola to shell out, but if you're going to use it often enough, I say go for it!

The bass pedal is very resistant, I definatly don't see it breaking at least. But it's loud and isn't anything like a real bass pedal. You can use the RB1/2 pedal with the ION Drum Rocker, it just requires an adapter. I tried going back to the RB1/2 pedal but found, although I didn't like the ION pedal that much, it was better than the original pedal!! I must have got used to it :p

Unfortunatly, I sold GH:WT off as I didn't enjoy it before I got the ION Drum Rocker, but I know that they work fine with it. Not sure what the deal is with the symbols so not sure I can help you - however, all cymbals and pads can be connected/disconnected freely, this allows you to expand the kit if you wanted to with extra cymbals and pads if you wished to add a drum brain onto it to make it into a full electronic kit :)

Pedal wise the best bet seems to be the Rock Pedal (comes top in reviews anyway :p) and if you ask nicely (tick box during order) they chuck in an ION adapter for free :D

Win win! :D

Thanks Guys - will get this ordered I think over the next month or two and feedback - is the standard price now about £250 ?
Looks like it. The price seems to have increased slightly since I brought my set. I got mine from getinthemix.co.uk.
