iOS 4.0 has been released!

Liking the multi tasking on my iPod 3g. It just helps out a bit.
The iBook seems to lag quite a bit though. If your just skipping pages i have found it to lag and then skip a few pages at a time. But if your reading it properly its not a problem. Thought you could zoom in and out on the text but wasn't able to. Sure its better on the iPad though. The turning pages thing is amazing.
Folders help out :) Not got many app's as i still havn't set up itunes properly and have been just listening to music through mxtube, though as of the update i don't have that anymore.

It seems like the zooming in and out has changed, atleast in safari (not sure about other things) It seems like the first finger you put down is where you zoom in to, compared to where you just put your finger anywhere and it just zoomed in to the centre of the screen sort of thing. It just feels different, anyone else realising this?

If anyone is wondering - I fixed the problem I said I had on the previous page :p

I just removed all the music from my iPhone and re-synced and added them all back again :)

Camera takes a stupid amount of time to load on the 3G with the now added digital zoom. Makes taking a quick snap near impossible. Asides from that, loving folders and it being somewhat quicker!

Found iOS4 really slow on my 3G. Wasn't expecting much but the biggest annoyance was the lack of the rotation lock that other models got, couldn't we have the slide bar at the bottom with the lock and ipod controls? :(

I'm loving it on the 3GS, the email app is far better and loving the folders so much so I have two screens now, first is totally default as Apple set and the second has 16 folders with all my apps in and thats IT. ha!

3g Update is a fail, multitasking and background and screen tilt lock all available if you have it jailbroken and it doesnt slow it down at all. utter tosh from apple.

Multi tasking I could accept. No orientation lock or background wallpaper is a farce.

Good: Folders, Bluetooth keyboard support.
Bad: Unless I'm thick, Spotify hasn't been updated to support multitasking yet. :(

Anyone else finding the multitasking not actually er... multitasking?? I mean, I thought I'd give it go to opened up Doodlejump played a bit and paused, set it to the background with the double tap of the home button, then open messages, sent a text and went back to doodlejump and it was as if I'd just opened it again it had wiped my game I had paused and just reopened the app as such. Bit of a let down really.

iBooks runs dog slow on my 3G.

Did a full restore and downloaded Winnie-the-Pooh to test and it completely freaks out on page turns :(

Starting to feel the lack of speed (and RAM) now.

Not all apps are supported, as they haven't been updated.

Strange because it was fast when I applied it to my JB'd 3G. Later that evening I did a full wipe/4.0 install (had to pass it on) and even then it was as quick as before.

Lack of rotation lock is pretty pathetic given that it's existed elsewhere for years. Don't get me started about the task switching, which is already possible on the device.

I found 'Folders' a bit rubbish tbh. Trying to move icons around springboard without accidently creating a folder was rather annoying. I noticed Places in the photo.app, which was very nice though - it'd be great on the iPhone 4 since it's camera is actually useful.

I found background wallpaper slowed down my 3G when animating the icons (loading homescreen / opening apps / closing apps), the reason being Apple use multiple png files to create a drop shadow effect to stop the icons on top of wallpaper looking naff.
