iOS 4.0 has been released!

Anyone else getting blurry images after installing IOS4???

Ah seems they changed the image render and you have to clear then resync your pics and then add them again

Just restored my 3GS again in the most dodgy way possible (pulling the plug whilst backing up) etc and it's perfectly fine. Clearly an issue with your systems, mac/pc iTunes? If it's pc I could understand, it's abit useless.

Other than that no crashes, keyboard working fine, everything working fine. Although NEED prefs on open apps, I managed to slow it to a crawl by loading everything at once...

GM does not equal iTunes download, game centre got pulled. Build number is the same though.

My 3g failed to restore from backup and i had to restore from a backup i made 2 weeks ago. The first boot-up was lagging like crazy, but after a reboot it seems to be working ok.

My 3g has been feeling really sluggish for awhile, but since I got my iPad its been hell.

I have been running the GM build since the day iTunes 9.2 came out and it's been running ok. I ahve noticied a bit fo slowdown in a couple of apps, mainly if I double tap the home button when apps are still loading. iBooks can be sluggish but I ahve loaded a ton of large PDF files. I'm gladd a double tap works to zoon in on text but i wish the zoom would lock to the trext so when you scroll it doesn;t wobble left and right.

Every app update is making the multitasking much more useful, I'm now waiting mainly for some other gaps, Reeder 2 and some others to be updated.

Folders are a godsend and I ahve tons of them. Love having a background image,

Backups and syncs to iTunes are now SOOOO much faster but one big tip, do regular syncs and backups as the time it takes for them to do decreases the more often they are run.

Also perform a backup on several computers as you can store a backup of your device on many machines and then copy the file back if anything goes wrong.

Backups have saved me a lot in the recent last weeks.

Also when you do a backup and restore thing, make a backup of the backups just in case.

Apple told me that under no circumstances would my backup be overwritten but it was and I lost everything. Thankfully Windows "Previous Versions" feature had a backup fo the folder from the past few weeks and I managed to get a lot of the stuff back much to the suprise of the Apple tech I was speaking with.

Thanks

Neil

I updated my wife's 3GS last night, and it took less than 30 minutes start to finish.

The last time she synced was around mid-2009, so I was expecting a massive backup but it took 10 minutes :)

Left mine backing up all night.

The progress bar didn't go up at ALL!

Not sure what to do now. Tried a manual backup, didn't work either :(

maybe your USB port is running at USB1 speed ?, try another port / reboot pc

btw, anyone noticed better signal stength for 3G on O2 ?, there was a carrier update also... who knows, seems better
