OMNOMONOM. Besides adding the hotspot feature to the phone, the iPad seems to have got a huge boost in the form of gestures for returning to the homescreen, bringing up the task drawer and switching between apps. It's about time we had something like this given that Photo.app uses similar gestures already.

In addition it looks like we're given a toggle switch for the usage of the mute/orientation lock switch.

I want this now! :(

The hotspot thing needs to be enabled on the carrier end I believe. If that's the case I can see o2 being a complete pain about it. I wonder how this is handled for Android phones, which have had this built in as standard though.

I would be bothered about tethering if o2 or any carrier asked us to pay more, yet I have two friends with HTC Desire's who hammer the hell out of their bandwidth via their hotspot and yet don't pay a thing.

I am hoping Apple don't do away with the Home button tbh, it's iconic now! It's always good to have a hardware button rather than software - especially when it's required for DFU mode anyway. Gestures is brilliant though.

I just hope they revamp Safari now as it is aging horribly and could do with a lot more navigation bells and whistles i.e three finger swipe left/right for forward/back page navigation.

Most 'unlimited' boasting carriers are anything but that. As soon as you exceed a small 'trigger' amount of say 300mb they'll begin twitching. My o2 Simplicity 20 tariff for my iPhone is unlimited, yet they got in touch with a mate of mine on the same tariff when his usage hit 600mb.
