IOS 6 and text message leaving my phone

Hi all i just updated my I-Phone 3GS 16gb to the new IOS 6 and now texts are taking forever to leave my phone andy one else had any issues.....

I think you may be right everything else is spot on and the speed on it is ok just little fault if you like re the text messages!

Does the 3gs do iMessage. (Settings / Messages / iMessage toggle)

If so try turning it off (it may be looking to send as an iMessage then defaulting back to a SMS)

Mine has been fine for messaging. Discovered last night that my exchange calendar wasn't syncing but I just deleted it from the phone and added it again. Up and running again now.

Thanks for that i have checked this setting and it is off its really odd i did a full restore of my i-phone from back up and again applied the new IOS 6 on there still the same, just wanted to know if anyone else had any issues i know that some people have had issues with it loosing there texts after the update mine appear to all be there, its just when i send a text message it seems to hang it will send eventually but takes a while!

I wish mine was mate as i say it it has done is slow the sending of text messages down!

Delete all your old texts, it'll speed up a 3gs considerably, also makes apps such as camera load and save much more quickly.
