iOS Calendar - remove event detail suggestions

I've looked everywhere but can't find where to switch off the feature which auto completes a calendar entry with the same details as you've previously used.

For example if I went swimming last Thursday with a certain friend and I go to add swimming again this Thursday it auto suggests the same information as last time. It would be a handy feature apart from my girlfriend has recently changed her email address so when I go to add a new event it gives me the 2 previous event details and I invariably add the wrong one so she doesn't get her calendar event updated.

Nope, fraid not. It looks like it's picking email addresses from previous events. If I go to add a totally new entry and choose invitees as the first option it gives me both of her email addresses even though I've changed her contact details and deleted her old address from any recent lists in email/contacts etc.
When it gives me the 2 email addresses there doesn't seem to be any way of deleting from there, no left swipe or anything.
