I'm posting this beacuse in a matter of days my 4S and my 3rd gen iPad have completely frozen out on me and I'm wondering if this is common?
First my 4S went about 3 days ago I locked this using the lock button, then tried to check the time using the lock button again but is was unresponsive - same for the home button, just a plain black screen. I held the lock button to try and get the shutdown option but this was not working either in the end I had to hard reboot it (pressing the home and lock button) and it now running normally.
My iPad was different this happened today. I was using this normally at my other halfs then took it home and tried to use it - the iPad seemed to be working normally however it had lost the Wifi connection when I went to settings to try and re add the network I got a blank grey screen, I tried closing the app and going back in but this was the same. I then tried to hold the lock button to shut this down which did not work and as with the iPhone I had to hard reboot this.
Does this happen to a lot of iOS users and does it indicate a problem?
