iOS Updates - Do they make you repeat 'Hey Siri' every time

Everytime I upgrade iOS, even if it's a minor update I get asked to recalibrate the whole 'Hey Siri' thing.

These seems odd, and like a bug.

Is this normal?

Happens on my phone pretty much every time, which seems weird to me.

Just updated to iOS10 on my phone and it was completely disabled for me!

Didn't even ask me to recalibrate it, was browsing through the settings and checked out the Siri section to see if there was anything new only to realise the entire feature had been silently turned off.

Weird.
