iOS5 wifi notification

Hi all,

The wifi notifications in ios have always bugged me, the way they pop up and steal focus is very irritating when you're in the middle of something. I was really hoping ios5 would have an option to relegate these to the notification bar but I can't find anything like this. Best I've been able to do is select "don't ask to join wifi" but that's irritating as sometimes I want to know what's available.

Have I missed the option or does it really not exist? Would
Love to know people's thoughts on this.

You can turn them off completely in wi-fi settings, and that's it. I'd recommend you do as the few clicks to find out what's about is far less annoying than getting interrupted.

Yeah the setting is Ask to Join Networks - i have had it switch too off since the first iPhone. Occasionally i will have to manually join The Cloud - other O2 hotspot - but afterwards it will silently join any pre-existing manually entered Wifi.

Seems your asking for a "only ask to join a network when i want you to" setting which isn't availiable. I disable the ask to join straight away. if i want to know it doesn't take long to go to settings -> wifi and have a look
