ios6 puts Android to shame

Next thing to ask is - how many of these "innovations" that Apple have on iOS6 are now patented and how long until everyone else is getting sued? :p

LOLBGR that's all I have to say regarding them and their trashy reporting of mobile tech.

They really are the Daily Mail of tech sites:people...the amount of rubbish they have spouted off in the past is really barrel scraping.

And anyone who takes their opinions seriously really need their heads checked.

From the site:

Decline an incoming call with a pre-written text message letting the caller know you’ll message them in a few minutes - Android feature for ages
FaceTime over cellular - Android feature for ages
Ability to use a song as an alarm - Android feature for ages

In fact, as I'm sure many of you know, these features were already on Symbian... Not that this contributes to the Android vs iOS comparison, but it means that they aren't exactly Android innovations, and further to that even more so that iOS should have had these features all along.

Saw this posted on Twitter and actually lol'd when reading it. I always knew BGR was a fanboi site (blatently obvious) but this one takes the biscuit.

I'd think I were being trolled if somebody posted that on here.

The comments on the article are awesome though.

There's nothing funnier than reading fanboys spewing forth their objective view of the love of their lives. The world would be a sorry place without them. :D

Minimalistic maps are better, google maps are just too cluttered with info. Handy to find your way around but looks pap.

I prerer to look good than know where I am.

Guessing they are going to add more tags etc with the new maps from Apple. I much prefer google maps from what I see. I have seen the macrumours forum where people are starting to discuss how underwhelming iOS6 is compared to previous releases.

They're maps provided by Tom Tom so I don't think they'll be lacking....

Yeah, I think the maps/navigation will be pretty good in the end. It's not like Apple will (or can afford to) ruin something that is so crucial, especially when Google maps works so well.

the google maps app surely wont just vanish anyway ?

well unless google want to take it away and want too lose out on potential add money from every single iphone/ipod owner

I'm sure there will be a standalone Google Maps app available in any case, I'm not sure what the fuss is about...
