ip camera advice.. (vandals)

Ok folks, heres the score..

I have a driveway that only has one point of entry, if the gates are left open and a car left at the top it often gets keyed (small but enough to be anoying).

I think with a camera it will be enough of a deterant to keep the small balled yobs away.

So basically i want a ip camera to setup, mostly as a deterrant but to also have a camera would be handy.

On ebay there seems to be so many however the prices range hugely, so long as the pics ok, and it has some form of nightvision it should be fine, also i would sooner have it wired into the network rather than wireless.

Any advice on what would suffice would be great.

Don't know anything about this but would have to ask - why don't you close the gates ?

its very rare we dont, but my parents run a taxi company (private hire) which means very often cars are in and out all night long etc. we live next to a local park which means the yobs walk past lots.

why not just buy a cheap fake one - it might prove enough of a deterrent. if they figure out it's fake then you can obviously buy a proper one and catch them at it.
