I'm connected to a router and i'd like to know what 192.168.0.X number my machine occupies.
I remember on Windows, just typing run>cmd>ipconfig and it would display the IP. Is there something like this on OS X?

Thanks.

Run terminal, then type ifconfig. That's it.

The posh GUI way is System Preferences, then Network. Pick the adaptor in the Show drop down.

You can open up network preferences and view it that way too :)

..also tells you the IP of the router you're connecting to aswell

there is also the rather useful network tool in the applications/utilities folder, basically puts a nice gui on a bunch of terminal commands but it can be quite handy for troublehsooting / getting information.
