Would a webmaster hosting a basic site on http://www.geocities.com/ be able to identify visitors IP addresses?

Whenever you visit a website you are revealing your IP address.
Whether or not GeoCities give their users the ability to see who is visiting their website (either through a control panel, the use of Javascript tracking tools or dynamic programming languages) I don't know, but as a general rule of thumb if you visit a website you surrender your IP.
