I had a very noisy line for voice calls last week, this also affected my adsl, and my ip profile dropped from 1750 to 1000 kbps.
After a call to Talk Talk (my voice calls provider) the BT engineer fixed a fault on the line, and my voice calls are now fine.
My Netgear DG834G used to connect at around 2000, and downloaded at 200 kb/sec
With a clearer line it now connects at 2400 and my ip profile is now 2000 kbps but it will only download at around 100 kb/sec
Even thought the ip profile has jumped from 1000 to 2000, the download speeds havent changed. 100 kb/sec is a joke 
Any idea what is wrong and what I can ask Plusnet to do about it?
