IP Question

I have my desktop pc set as a static ip of 192.168.2.2, and my laptop set auto ip. I was just wondering, if I booted up my desktop pc and my laptop was using 192.168.2.2, would the laptop automatically change to another ip?

no, you'd probably see a conflict. you should change the range of your DHCP scope so your pc ip isn't dished out.

or you could setup reservations meaning your pc always get 192.168.2.2 (and you'd have to configure the pc to use DHCP).

No, it would conflict and you'd have to "repair" the connection.
