Having had a look on the web without much success Im try to overclock on this board but nor stress the ram too much.

I have basically got a E6750 to 3ghz by raising the fsb to 375mhz. However this takes the ram upto 750mhz from the 666mhz it is at stock. I would rather the ram to run at normal speed and lock this speed whilst raising the fsb. However the ram options only have ratio's which up the ram speed and not lock it to 666mhz.

I know I really should be using 800mhz ram to start but I went for the cheap and nasty 666mhz :P

Can any of you help with advice on the current state of play?

not really as x8 is the max it goes to, Im not 100% here but Im sure its locked from going upwards

you can't run less than 1:1 on P35 chipset.

which exact RAM do you have as some RAM overclocks very well (e.g. Ballistix 667 will do over 1000) & some less so?

elixir ram with nanya chips, it seems to be rock stable at 750mhz

On my ip35 pro there are options for fiddling with the ram ratio so as you can keep it as close to the stock as possible - i'm running my q6600 @ stock with 2gig of GSkill 6400 HZ so can't recal what I used for 3.2Ghz when I pushed it.
