Hi All,

This is my first post so be gentle!
I only just recently got a new IP35 motherboard (not the pro or E version).
I've been working fine until just a few days ago when my pc locked up and I lost network connection via the onboard Marvell Yukon. I tried rebooting, uninstalling the drivers, disabling and re-enabling the device to no avail.
The weird thing is it reports back no problems within windows however when I plus a patch cable into the ethernet port, no lights come on for network activity and therefore it detects no network.

Here's a bit more background for you, i just also purchased a BFG 8800GTX and have installed that, would the fx card be taking too much power possibly?
I have a Hyper 530 power supply which has seems to have enough power.

This just all seems strange after putting int he net fx card.

ALSO, my newish SATA DVD rewriter just started reporting as gobbledegook on the drive check at startup, basically it shows up as a row of weird characters rather than the name of the drive when listing the SATA devices.

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks in advance,

Chris

I must admit i'm not sure if every power port is plugged in on the board, the IP35 board seems to have loads of power ports. The one that wasn't plugged in when I was running normally was the 4 pin molex next to the PCIE x 1 slot.
I've plugged it in now (after the issues started to occur) but no difference, that may just be the power for the PCIE express bus.

right, i'll check that out tomorrow, i flashed the bios a month or so back, but only just got this since the addition of the new fx card. I just got a better psu today which solved my SATA issues, but the onboard network controller remains unconnected with no lights when I plug in the ethernet.

no its not, well it is now because I got fed up with it as i couldn't fix it. I think i'm gonna buy myself a new P5K deluxe and RMA this one
