iPad 1 issue

Hi all, had my iPad for just overe a year now, but in the last 2-3 months I'm finding while using apps, like Facebook, twitter, safari, YouTube etc it quite often randomly closes them and takes me to the 'desktop'

it's getting abit annoying to say the least, anyone else have this issue at all?

No, but recently I found that doing a full restore when going over to its 5.01 made things faster and smoother, so maybe this would be worth trying?

I had this problem. A full restore to 5.01 fixed the issues. Sure Twitter for iPad crashes occasionally but thats just because it is buggy as hell on iOS5.
