Stupid daughter has broken her iPad screen, the iPad is still full functional, the quote I've had from a repair store is £359 is this my only option?

I smashed one a few years back and took it to one of those, lets say cheaper repair places. My word, i regretted it. The thing would flicker on and off. I took it back to them. Then the button wouldn't work.

It was just a nightmare all round. It's a sore one but I'd bite the bullet and get it repaired by apple.

Unless you know someone you trust or feel confident about replacing the screen yourself. There is plenty of tutorials online, I played around with an old one that the battery was completely dead on, purely for practice and had a nightmare getting the screen off. So be careful if you do go down that route.

I’ve also had terrible results from high street repairers. Either take the iPad to Apple for repair, or use a reputable company that guarantees a positive outcome.

problem is with those is the touch and lcd are fused together.

if its just the glass there are places on ebay for £160 that can replace the touch.

Took a Samsung Tab Pro S to a repair place to fix the power button board. They broke the screen trying to open the device. In the end I sold them the device for not much less than I paid for it working.
