iPad 2 3G Wifi Tethering

Can anyone tell me how this is possible?

I've had a look through Cydia and tried a couple of things, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone actually got this working?

I thought tethering was restricted to iPhone iOS and not iPad iOS. Either officially with network's approval (extra cost) or using Cydia paid apps on a jailbroken iPhone.

I'm talking about using my iPad to supply it's 3G internet connection to a laptop via wifi.

I've no idea if it's restricted anywhere, hence me asking.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a solution with a Jailbroken iPad.

That's what I was referring too, each iOS device runs slightly different versions of iOS. I don't think there is an official option for the iPad like on iPhone, other than using a paid Cydia app which I guess has to be run in the background to access the 3G & pump it to whatever device.

I've compared the iPad to the iPhone and of course the "Personal Hotspot" feature isn't available on the iPad.

So others are right, if you want to do it on the iPad you'll need to jailbreak and install a third party app.
