Hey guys, I'm currently on the look out for a back cover for my iPad that is compatible with the smart cover.

I've came across the dodocase back cover but at £25 it's a little steep but I am seriously tempted as it does look pretty nice.

Does anyone have any cheaper suggestions? Thanks!

Speck do a nice hard shell which is compatible with a smart case. It's top notch, I'm using it on my iPad 2 now. It even has a little magnet to hold the smart cover in place while it's open and you're using the iPad.

Usually i'm a Phantomskinz fan, but since we are talking about just the back I have to give the nod to Best Skins Ever as well. I just finished installing mine, and it looks great. Out of all the iPad 2 "self healing" skins BSE did the corners the best. It's also has a great mix of smoothness and tackiness that makes it a perfect back skin.

As mentioned, BSE is probably the cheapest of the bunch, but this doesn't mean they are lower quality. IMO BSE is able to price their skins cheaper because they cut out the "fluff"... There is no fancy packaging, solution, crappy cloth or application card. All you get is the skins and your packing slip. Their instructions are online and most everything else you need can/should be already in your home.

Thanks

I'm just using a Zagg invisible shield protector for the back of mine and it works perfect with my Smart cover. Provides the grip I need and I wish I did it from the beginning as the back scratches so easily!

Using a Switcheasy Coverbuddy myself and love it, although it's quite pricey. Got mine from the States for a fair bit less but had to wait a month for it.

I have a HyperShield and cannot fault it at all, works perfectly fine with the Magnetic Apple screen Shield
On a well known Auction site look up "HYPERSHIELD IPAD 2 CASE IN SMART COVER COLOURS. CLEAR"
